Spotify Secret Genius

A series of short animations created for Spotify’s Secret Genius campaign, promoting the "Written By" playlists and celebrating the songwriters behind some of the world’s biggest tracks.

I was brought in to create a series of Instagram Reel-style videos, combining typography, graphic elements, and motion within Spotify’s established visual identity.

The creative process was refreshingly straightforward. Spotify provided an extensive set of brand guidelines that gave me a strong visual system to work within while still leaving plenty of room to explore timing, composition, transitions, and typography through motion.

The result was a collection of fast-paced, energetic pieces designed specifically for social media and consistent with Spotify’s wider brand language.

The series went on to receive a Vimeo Best of the Year badge. This was a particularly nice ending to an already fun project.
